Lone Star College System - Serving 1400 square miles in Harris and Montgomery counties of Texas, the Lone Star College System has an enrollment of over 45,000 in credit classes and 13,000 in continuing education. Among the largest and fastest growing community college districts in Texas, the Lone Star College System has five different colleges and seven satellite centers.
Lone Star College - Montgomery: Completed in 1995, Lone Star College - Montgomery is a 365,000 square foot campus located on 165 acres of pine forest, between The Woodlands and Conroe, Texas. This school is part of the fast-growing Lone Star College System and in 2007 the college enrolled more than 9,200 credit students. Additionally, more than 4,000 students take continuing education courses annually.
The Montgomery location of Lone Star College offers more than 40 career programs as well as academic transfer courses in a variety of subjects. There is also a corporate and continuing education division that provides workforce training and re-training to local businesses and individuals. In the summer, Lone Star College - Montgomery offers youth camps and year-round there is a learning organization for active, older adults called The Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL)
On the same campus, Lone Star College - Montgomery offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees from six area universities in more than 60 different majors.

Lone Star College - Cy-Fair: Formerly known as Cy-Fair College, Lone Star College - Cy-Fair is one of five colleges in the Lone Star College System and is fully accredited by the Southern Association of colleges (SACS). This 2-year public college offers various programs such as Accounting to X-Ray Technician. Also available are Transitional Studies and Special Programs. You'll also find continuing education studies for kids, teens and adults and of special interest is their travel program.

Prairie View A & M - Located in Prairie View Texas, you'll find the home of Prairie View A & M University Panthers. The main campus is located in Waller County approximately 40 miles northwest of Houston Texas and one mile north of US Highway 290 on Farm Road 1098. The College of Nursing facility is located in the Texas Medical Center in Houston.

Texas A & M - Boasting a 5000 acre university located in College Station Texas, this school is less than an hour drive from Magnolia Texas. Founded in 1876, Texas A & M University was Texas first public institution of higher learning. Today the school has over 46,000 students, a nationally recognized faculty and two branch campuses, one in Galveston Texas and the second in the country of Qatar. Many of the degree programs are ranked among the top 10 in the United States.
Also, located on the College Station Campus of TAMU, you will find the beautiful presidential library and museum of George H.W. Bush. The library operates under the administration of the National Archives and Records Administration under the provisions of the Presidential Libraries Act of 1955.
The George H. W. Bush Library and Museum recently completed an $8.3M renovation to the main exhibit on the life of George Bush and now features state-of-the-are audio guides featuring the voices of former President Bush, Barbara Bush and their Daughter Doro Bush Koch.

Sam Houston State University - Located in one of Texas' oldest cities, Huntsville Texas, you'll find the home of the Bearkats! Named for Texas' Greatest Hero, General Sam Houston, SHSU has an enrollment of over 16,000 and offers 79 undergraduate degree programs, 52 masters programs and 5 doctoral programs in various studies.
Huntsville Texas is became the home of General Sam Houston, the 1st and 3rd president of the Republic of Texas and later becoming the Governor of the great state of Texas. Upon visiting Huntsville and located on Interstate 45, you will see a 66 ft. statue which is the tallest statue in the world of an American hero.

University of Houston - Founded in 1927, this beautiful 550 acre campus is located in the energy capital of the world, Houston Texas. Currently 35,000 students have available to them, more than 100 undergraduate majors and minors and almost 200 graduate degree programs. The University of Houston Alumni hold leadership positions in Washington D.C., major corporations and have walked in space as an Astronaut.
Over the past few years, U of H has made more than $200 million in campus improvements and offers leading-edge facilities such as a new complex for science and engineering research. The campus Recreation and Wellness Center has an indoor and outdoor pool with a 53 foot high climbing wall.

Texas Southern University - Located near downtown Houston Texas, TSU is one of two Historically Black colleges and Universities (HBCU) in the world and one of only two, four-year colleges in Texas with an open enrollment policy, accepting all eligible students with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
With more than 9000 students, faculty and staff, Texas Southern University offers health profession programs in pharmacy and health sciences. The university has also increased the number of students receiving Bachelor degrees in science, mathematics, engineering and technology due to its participation in the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Preparation Program (LSAMP) TSU's community is very diverse. Although most of the students are native Texans, you'll find an international student body from all over the world. The alumni includes state representatives and local prominent attorneys that graduated from the university's Thurgood Marshall School of Law. The university has also produced acclaimed vocalists, musicians, and artists. Forty-percent of the teachers in Houston ISD graduated from Texas Southern University.

University of Texas Health Science Center - The University of Texas Health Science Center was created by the UT Board of Regents in 1972 and supported by the Texas State Legislature. Located in the worlds largest medical center, UTHSC offers a Dental Branch, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Medical School, the School of Public Health, the School of Nursing, the School of Health Information Sciences, the UT Harris County Psychiatric Center and the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine for the Prevention of Human Diseases.
The university offers 12 graduate degrees, 2 professional - MD, DDS, 2 bachelor, 6 Coordinating Board approved certificates programs, 10 joint/dual degree programs and nearly 100 clinical training sites. Rice University - May 13, 1891, William Marsh Rice chartered the William Marsh Rice Institute for the Advancement of Letters, Science, and Art. Today Rice University is considered one of the premier universities with approximately 3000 undergraduate students there is a student-to-teacher ratio of 5:1 with the median class size of 15.
In 2007, Rice University was named the most productive research university in Texas Academic Analytics and also ranked as a top institution in the country by various print magazines including U.S. News and World Report.
The Rice University campus has eight academic schools and nine residential colleges. Across the street from the university is Hermann Park which includes the zoo, and the Miller Outdoor Theatre. Just a half mile away is the Houston Museum District. Also nearby the campus is Rice Village where you will find restaurants and nightlife plus places to shop.
